Radiological Care Services (RCS) is a privately held business entity headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. What started as a garment cleaning company in 2013 has since grown into the world’s first, comprehensive x-ray garment solutions provider. RCS provides “One Stop Shopping” for all of your x-ray garment needs. Our customers appreciate full continuity of care, provided through our full service model, which includes the following:
- Scheduled garment cleaning and sanitization services
- Inventory management support and garment RFID Tagging
- Complimentary garment repairs (while at our facilities for scheduled service)
- Radiographic scanning services (X-ray scans to check for holes, cracks and tears)
- Service documentation provided for Joint Commission / HFAP purposes
- Help sourcing new garments, equipment and other accessories as needed
After years of wearing sweaty, soiled and “less than sanitary” protective X-ray garments in facilities, we began to study and examine the associated infection control risks and developed a proprietary, multi-step, cleaning & sanitization system based upon cleaning guidelines provided by the CDC, JCAHO, HFAP and AORN.
BOTTOM LINE - We identified there were several infection control and prevention measures in place within facilities today, but that x-ray wearables and aprons were often overlooked and were simply returned to the rack with contamination in-tact for use in the next case.

Meet the RCS Team
Zac has worked in the medical field for 15 years, and has been selling orthopedic implants the last 12 years. This experience has taught Zac the values of great service and great partnerships. Zac has done business with most hospitals in central Indiana over the past 12 years and values the working relationships that he has developed with these health systems.
Over the past several years Zac has spearheaded the development of the RCS proprietary, multi-step process for servicing protective X-ray garments. This process documents and provides tangible results at an affordable price. This new system will benefit hospitals in helping to reduce their liability, through aiding in the decontamination and disinfection of a frequently neglected high-touch surface. The process will also deliver odor free x-ray wearables in a manner that is convenient to each individual customer.
The demands & expectations on hospital staff are ever increasing, with increased quality benchmarks and such a growing emphasis on “outcomes.” The Affordable Care Act and Value Based Purchasing have elevated the ramifications & penalties on health systems specifically for HAIs (Hospital Acquired Infections) and SSI (Surgical Site Infections.) Zac identified the need for a hospital partner that would assist in the care of a neglected piece of hospital equipment (x-ray garments) so the staff can better focus their time on patient care and to help the health system further reduce their potential for HAIs/SSIs.

As Co-Founder and Vice President, Justin is actively involved in a myriad of the day-to-day ongoings with RCS. Previously, Justin served as a Territory Manager, Director of National Sales and then Vice President of Sales within Texas based, Ferris Mfg. Corp (PolyMem/SportsWrap).
The past several years have not only provided Justin with some critical operating room experience, but also invaluable experience in developing IDN and GPO agreements, sales force development and executive level selling (both clinical and administrative). Justin recognizes that healthcare is in a critical state right now; patients and facilities demand value, consistency and outcomes. He acknowledges that healthcare institutions are experiencing budget & reimbursement cuts and clearly understands the ACA/Value Based Purchasing ramifications when a facility reports a Surgical Site Infection (SSI) or Hospital Acquired Infection. (HAI) He is committed to working closely with your facility to develop a servicing plan that best meets your garment inventory and staff needs.

Business Development Specialist
A recent graduate from Grand Valley State (B.S. Biomedical Science), Trevor has been working with Radiological Care Services in some capacity all throughout his college years and has recently joined the team full time. Being a life-long, chronic condition patient himself, Trevor understands first hand, the critical importance of healthcare facilities doing everything possible to best support patient safety. As a result of this personal connection and the amount of time that he still spends inside of healthcare facilities, he is clearly passionate about the work that RCS provides to hospitals and surgery centers. Furthermore, his story drives the strong attention to detail he carries when it comes to the imperative work that RCS extends to providers. He is dedicated to helping improve the quality and safety of the garments worn by hospital staff and their patients. Trevor is looking forward to working in a number of different capacities with current and future customers to help ensure that their x-ray garments serve to protect, not infect!

Operations Support Specialist
Kathy’s unique background and skillset lend themselves nicely to her role as Operations Support Specialist at RCS. Originally from Wisconsin, Kathy was born in the Madison area and soon found her way to Indiana, where she was raised and spent most of her childhood. Later in life, corporate opportunity found Kathy headed for Texas, where she started her professional career. Kathy has a background in fashion, and also has professional experience in telecommunications, human resources, collections, and emergency communications. Most recently though, she earned her professional license and has been teaching new English Language Learners, which makes her adept in dealing with communications with customers, staff and our vendor partners. Kathy has two children that she is extremely proud of and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. Kathy’s passion for doing the right thing on behalf of patient safety is evident in the positive attitude that she carries and is further revealed in the level of support that she extends to RCS customers everyday.
